Games 11 and 12

Season Record: 3-9; pitched both games; first team win with me pitching

Game 11: W 15-5
3-3; 3 singles

Game 12: L 11-23
2-3; 2 singles, 1 flyout

Defensively:
Pitched complete game for both contests.
Game 11 is the first game we won (CoEd or Men) with me pitching at any point in the game. Was able to get 2 strikeouts with the batters swinging. I think I only walked one batter.
Game 12 got a little testy late. My teammates wondering why a high number of hits (especially late in the game) were coming up the middle at me, the other team being defensive about it. Not sure whether it was on purpose or not but lost count on the total number of hits that came up the middle. There were a couple that I could have handled if I reacted faster (possibly something I'll learn with more experience) but quite a few were directly at my legs. At the very least, I was able to keep my composure and continued to throw strikes. In the past when a couple of hits would go up the middle, I tended to focus on not getting hit. It's an unwritten rule not to hit the ball directly at the pitcher if you can help it. The point of contention was the high number of hits that came up the middle.

Offensively:
Decided to use a 27-inch bat since I was pitching to see if that could both help me to get quality hits and not tire out my arm. Except for the one ball that I put too much air under, it was a successful night at the plate.
